A Whole Lotta Green! Day 1

The Journey Starts: Day 1

The healthiest juices are the ones that contain Green leafy vegetables. These Green veggie delights contain the most vitamins and nutrients. Although the color might set you back, your body instantly reacts positively and you will feel the Difference.  The guidelines for making green juice is 60% dark green leafy vegetables and 40% other vegetables/fruits. I will be mixing and matching to see what i come up with & what also tastes the best!

Juice #1

My breakfast consisted of these few ingredients i mixed together in my Juicer.  2 stalks of Green kale, 2 hand fulls of washed Spinach, 1 full Orange (skin and all), 1 full Green Apple (seeds included) and a pretty decent slice of a cucumber (pictured). Over All It tastes pretty good, although the after taste is the orange peel which is kinda funky!

Thoughts at the moment: I could get use to this easily.

Juice #2

This Juice consisted of 1 full White peach, 1 Full Red Apple (seeds included), 2 stalks of celery, 1 whole carrot, 2 hand fulls of washed spinach, 1 stalk of Green kale, 4 strawberries (tops cut off). This one as you can see is still green but taste sweeter and less citrus of course, I found it quite enjoyable!

Thoughts at the Moment: Still green, pretty energetic but hungry.

For Dinner i made a Spring Mix salad with hand cut cucumbers and carrots. Dressing was a blueberry pomagranite mix which was awesome!!

 My Back Story:
(Or in better words, why im doing this!! You can skip)

A few months shy of my 25th birthday and i cannot ignore my body signals anymore! I have noticed the older im getting the worse my stomach symptoms seem to get, and for the past decade i have been trying to fix this. Weight Gain and Fatigue were also creeping in and not helping the situation, which just added frustration. All it took was 3 Documentary videos and a new found will power without my doctor shoving antacids or probiotic supplements at me.

Even as a young child my mom said i always complained of stomach aches, cramps & pain. In my teens this escalated, then became a regular everyday feeling for me i just started to deal with. Things really got worse my junior year when i was falsely diagnosed with stress induced acid-reflux, when really i was just lactose intolerant. Although i never really enjoyed milk like my fellow siblings, i was ok with this and would even take the Lactaid fast acting pills if i did have anything with Dairy products. I was out of school for almost a month, in and out of doctor offices where i was lead down a dead end road.  Years went by and yet nothing really changed, Just my tolerance for stomach pain after eating a meal grew. By 22 i was told i was semi allergic to Gluten so a whole new diet started, and my way of eating yet again changed. At this time Gluten free products were just more popular and what i'd like to call an escape diagnosis for my Doctors so i wouldn't ask more questions. In December i will be 25, and with that i am done with Doctors and the misdiagnosis, weight gain & horrific stomach pains after every meal.  December of 2011 i started personal training and working out harder than ever before!! I lost 40 pounds and even gained a cup size (which i found odd), gaining muscle and endurance, but everything comes with a catch. My body quickly started to gain the weight back! So here goes my journey to a long, healthy & loving lifestyle change.

This is My Body, My Weight, & This is My Fault!

Time to change that!
Cheers!
